I love abandoned places. But it is not just “abandoned factory” – for me it is amazing apogee of Nepalese mentality. This cement factory was a gift from Germans in 1970’s. In that time Nepal was the poorest Asian country. Factory worked and give a good income, people go there for the salary. But in the early 2000s people of Kathmandu realised that the factory pollutes the environment. They rebelled and demanded to close the factory. And it was closed. The poorest country has destroyed one of the main sources of income because it is polluting.

-How did u get to the building (your journey, for eg, did u walk or take some transport?)
-Was there any restricted zone or any cordoned off areas to reach the factory?
-Was there any security or people around?
-It the factory easily accessible or do we have to go through some forest or trek?
I came here on motorbike, the territory is close and entrance denied, but Factory is near the road and easy to pass inside. And yes, there is security and I try to be invisible and illegally.

-When was the date of your trip? When was these photos taken, during 2016?
-When you mentioned security, was it tight security? or just a few patrolling the outskirts etc etc. In that case, once you manage to get inside, there is nobody to check right?
