City dump – a territory that has invisible rigid boundaries. These boundaries are made up of our unwillingness to see that life. There is constantly hard work like on a huge factory. People, animals and birds are working in day and night … And on the edge of the landfill is a street with permanent residents who do not need to go to the store and they have a job close to home.
All that we throw becomes necessary here. This is the culmination of universal desire to do nothing and have everything.
If you come to the Russian dump, it does not need to bring food. There is plenty of food, you can even get a treat from gracious hosts. But you can bring cigarettes and a thermos for hot tea as a gift for example).
This is brilliant. Looks like you have got a story to tell. Landfills are often very much neglected, that even by those who are responsible for making one. Landfills and the city on which they lie, coexist. I am working on the landfills and the life within it here in Kolkata, India. Will gladly share with you my ongoing work if you are interested. Cheers. 🙂
